I'm back!

Ok, so much has happened since I last posted.

Last Tuesday I rode to work with my husband. I took this photo of his truck when we left the house. Once at work I was called into a meeting with my second level manager and a woman from HR. Not good. Needless to say I have taken an early retirement. I found out that there were about 550 layoffs at Dell last Tuesday alone. Seems like the people that I tell know someone else who was laid off as well.

Not the best way to start the day. After that, my mom and my son found many ways to keep me busy for the next few days. I must admit this might be the best thing that could have happened. I was very stagnant in my job. There is a lot less stress in my life now. That is until the bills start rolling in. I was thankfully offered a decent severance package.
More later.....

I'm SO glad you're back!! I was getting really tired of looking at the sad little Christmas candle.

You're going to be GREAT! You're the kind of girl that always lands on your feet. You're smart, attractive, good with your hands ... maybe you should be masseuse. oooooohhh you could start an escort service for high value clients - great scrapbook material!! Just kidding of course. Relax, enjoy a brief "vacation" time, and then spend some time alone thinking about what you really want to do. The job market is great in Austin. Remember ... there's life after Dell!!

Hey I'm with Melanie. It always feels good when you scratch my back. Of course, you'd have to lose the nails to be a masseuse, and Sherry without pretty nails would just be weird!

The paper mafia . . . I like that. We're the scrapple dumpling gang and the paper mafia.
